Can you spare $33.10?

I recieved this email from the Darcy Burner campaign today:

John McCain is in Bellevue at a $33,100 per head Republican fundraiser. Why do these people donate such large sums of money to help elect Republicans? Because 100% of them are among the wealthiest 1% of the population – the one demographic category that has made out like bandits during the Bush Administration.
McCain enthusiasts want the Bush policies to continue. They like low taxes and MASSIVE Government. These are John McCain contemporaries. They expect to be dead before the chickens come home to roost and our economic system completely collapses from the weight of our debt, which is closing in on ten trillion dollars, just as boomers are beginning to retire and our workforce begins to shrink.
Worse, the remaining workforce continues to shift from high paying manufacturing jobs to lower paying service jobs, and it is the working people of this country who will bear the burden of funding Social Security for baby boomers.
The millionaires, decamillionaires, centimillionaires, and billionaires showing up at the Westin in Bellevue to rub elbows with John McCain today think the only legitimate taxes are those imposed on wages earned from hard work. Capital gains taxes should be zero. Inheritance taxes should be zero. Corporate income taxes should be zero.
Unfortunately, the only way for working people to prevail, is for them to contribute small amounts of money in massive numbers, to counter the massive donations from small numbers of the superrich.
Please send $33.10 to someone. Send it to Darcy, or Barack Obama, or Al Franken, or a Democratic candidate facing a tight race in your area. Send it to the DCCC or your congressional or legislative district. Send it to one of the 42 candidates who have endorsed the "Responsible Plan to end the War in Iraq".

John McCain in particular, and the Republicans in general, are not going to, as Bush so eloquently put it, "solve the global warming debate", or get us out of Iraq, or take care of our veterans, or do anything about the high cost of health care or the nearly 50 million uninsured Americans. They aren't going to do anything about the half trillion dollar deficits, because they can't cut the military, they can't cut entitlements, they can't cut interest payments on the debt. They would have to cut virtually everything else to balance the budget, and Congress will not allow that, or even a modest move in that direction.
There are no free lunches, or free wars, but there are, apparently, $33,100 "victory dinners".
We are either going to elect responsible politicians, or we are going to continue to screw the future for our children.
Please, give up your morning latte for 2 weeks and send an additional $33.10 to help defeat McCain and the Republicans.
